This is not a trend. This is not a slogan. This is not a man-made tradition. It is the day God blessed, God sanctified, and God commanded with one thunder-word: REMEMBER.
The day before Sunday is Saturday — and in the King James Bible it is the seventh day Sabbath, God’s memorial of Creation (Genesis 2:1–3), commanded in the Ten Commandments: “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.” (Exodus 20:8)
“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work…
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day:
wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”
— Exodus 20:8–11 (KJV)
God did not begin this commandment with “Consider,” or “Maybe,” or “If you feel like it.” He began with REMEMBER.
The parable shows two kinds of believers: those with lamps, and those with oil. Lamps can look bright for a moment—oil keeps the flame when the midnight cry shakes the house. These PDFs are here for one reason: to help you get the knowledge of Bible truth—the oil that does not run out when it matters most.
“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”
— Psalm 42:1 (KJV)
“Blessed are they that do his commandments,
that they may have right to the tree of life,
and may enter in through the gates into the city.”
— Revelation 22:14 (KJV)
“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God, and keep his commandments:
for this is the whole duty of man.”
— Ecclesiastes 12:13 (KJV)
“Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
— Revelation 14:12 (KJV)
Start here. This is the trumpet call—clear, Bible-centered, and uncompromising.
Drink deep. These are the wells—original writings and historic witnesses. If your heart has ever felt “dry” under modern religion, these pages are a river.
For the soul that wants oil—not vapor. Clear Bible truth that cuts through confusion and calls you back to the commandments of God.
Plain, earnest counsel for those who refuse to sleep through prophecy. Read it like a watchman reads the sky.
A life with backbone. If you want courage to obey God when the crowd laughs, this will put iron in your spine.
Note: If your file name is longer (shows “CaptainJosephBates...” in your folder), rename it to CaptainJosephBates.pdf so this link works.
Not theory—experience. Providence, trials, deliverances. The kind of reading that turns “Bible history” into living reality.
Trace the Sabbath through Scripture and history—so you can see what changed, who changed it, and why it matters now.
The Sabbath as God’s own mark of authority in His law—His memorial of Creation and His sign set in time.
A historical voice from an earlier hour—when truth was preached like a trumpet, and compromise was called by its right name.
If you add more PDFs to this folder, copy one of these “cards,” change the file name and summary, and your library grows in minutes.
Tip: Keep PDFs in the same folder as index.html (as your screenshot shows). Then simple links like ThePresentTruth.pdf and LittleFlock.pdf work instantly—no hassle.
